Elvis Hair Auction - Video Elvis Hair on Auction

Elvis Presley's Hair Auction

Some are "All Shook Up" over an auction that claims it's Elvis real hair.

As an Elvis fan since age 6 or so I think it's remarkable how his music and legacy continues on beyond what many ever would have imagined.

As a natural born skeptic I'd like to see a DNA sample done for complete valid PROOF the hair is indeed that of Elvis. Especially considering the estimated auction price will be valued at over $300,000!

I'll be dammed if I'd pay that much for what is BELIEVED to be Elvis hair. LOL

How bout you? Do you believe it's Elvis hair and would you buy it at auction even if money was not an issue without valid proof?

Yea, I know some guy has compared it to a sample of what he says is Elvis hair but not enough proof for me.

Come on.. spend that kind of dough HOPING it is Elvis but not KNOWING if it's Elvis Presley's hair.

Chicago auction house all shook up over Elvis hair
By DON BABWIN - Associated Press Writer

CHICAGO -- The King may be dead, but that doesn't mean it's too late to run your fingers through his hair. Elvis Presley's hair, at least a clump of hair that Presley may have lost to an Army barber when he went into the service back in 1958, is going on the auction block this Sunday at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago.

The hair is part of a collection of more than 200 items that belonged to or are associated with Presley. There are clothes he wore, scarves he threw to screaming fans - who judging by the yellow sweat stains, never washed them - and Christmas cards he sent. And there are lots of records, some he kept in his own juke box, and other sorts of memorabilia ranging from Elvis dolls to Elvis wrist watches to Elvis Pez dispensers.

All the items belonged to Gary Pepper. No Hound Dog, Pepper was not only a huge Presley fan and president of a Presley fan club, but a close friend, as many of the photographs of the two together suggest.

There's more than Elvis hair up for auction. You can go here to see a few pictures as well as read more about the auction of Elvis Presley's hair.
