Elvis Is Back - Did He Ever Really Leave The Building?

Been a while since I did a post and so much has happend over the past few months with Elvis legacy.

First off what a great job I think Priscilla and Lisa Presley did in "Elvis By The Presleys"

Really enjoyed the 2 hour television show and will pick up the extended DVD set this weekend.

Now..the CBS special on Elvis is a whole other story but I'm too tired to get started on that!

Let's just say, putting it as nice as I can, the guy playing EP sucked big time.

The early years ok but the last scene from 1968 could not have been any worse.

Will post again soon about Elvis tribute artist Brandon Bennette. The kid, litterally a kid he's only 23, is absolutely terrific.

He's got the moves and charisma and much of the raw charm Elvis had. What he lacks in voice he more than makes up for on stage! He's got the man down pat and does just a good of job in the concert years.

What I really liked is how Brandon portrays Elvis from the early 50's, through the 60's, does a great Private Elvis Presley from the United States Army and even the movie years.

I think Brandon has more fun doing the movie songs than Elvis ever did that's for sure.

More to come EP Fans.

The movie was a very good one, and being of the "Presleys", I'm sure quite accurate. However, any impersonator of Elvis sickens me. There was only ONE Elvis! Of course, to make a movie today, someone must play the part, but someone who curls their lip in an interview, and says the "yes, Mam's" is too much for me.

Your partly right and wrong, whats wrong with trying to keep alive the memory of the king, its been nearly 30 years since he passed away and i find that listening to their voices reminds me of how much they dont sound like him and how much they can't replace him, although i do agree with the curled up lip, and some of the hammy actors they get to play him, but nobody will ever look or sound the way Elvis did, they haven't got the style to which E had,Elvis by the P's took me by great suprise, I did'nt recon much to Priscilla when he married her and have'nt reconed much since BUT, she gave a great tribute and also Lisa (which i knew she would) but it just goes to proves how much we thought of the king and that all tributes count be it family or ppl that do it in there own ways...Not trying to promote but i come from the UK and this is the best i've heard from the UK so far....Let me know, shoot me down in flames but i think he's rather good....http://www.robbietoelvis.co.uk/....He may do E but he also does RW as well and if you've got the voice then why not use it...
